Healthy Christmas Recipes: Christmas has already arrived and we know that we have business dinners, meals with friends and, on the other hand, Christmas Eve Dinner and New Year’s Eve … we know we can take a kilo (or some). What better way to make a Christmas menu than to try to make it healthy, or at least, by reducing calories. I know that sometimes it is difficult, but we have an infinity of recipes that make great low calories to save us a few extra kilos this Christmas.

Really another of the things that will be difficult to do is to avoid wine, drinks, champagne … that is something for everyone to control. We all know that if we want to save some calories we should not drink alcohol … but at Christmas it is difficult. This menu that I have made is based on low-calorie foods and cooking techniques that do not provide many calories, goodbye to fried foods. We will use the oven or the iron.

As I commented most of the entrees will be seafood, this is because they are very low in calories and delicious the truth. Perfect for Christmas.

  • Mussels a la marinera : This seafood is perfect and low in calories.
  • Navajas a la plancha: One of my favorite seafood, the truth is that the best way to prepare them is grilled.
  • Txangurro : The txangurro is what they call the spider crab in the Basque Country. The truth is that we can prepare it simply cooked or au gratin. I recommend doing it in this case cooked but if we gratinate it a little with a touch of breadcrumbs it will also look great.

First course

  • Homemade consomme : In many families it is a classic first course at Christmas dinner, in mine as well. Remember that to be truly healthy, we must degrease it well. We will have a perfect broth.

Main dish

  • Baked wild sea bass : One of my favorite fish, yes, even if it comes out more expensive, it must be wild because the difference of the piscifactoria seabass and the wild sea bass is abysmal.


  • Fruit Macedonia : This dessert is perfect and healthy, it will go great to your Christmas dinner so that it culminates to perfection.
